What to Do in Houston This Summer

Buffalo Bayou Park. Just 11 miles north of Medical Center RV is this great park, perfect for spending a sunny Texas afternoon. There are trails, tours, picnic spots, and events held all summer long. Check out their calendar using the link above.

 

Art in Montrose. In the heart of Houston, Montrose (approximately a four-square-mile area) is a great place to enjoy art, food, and shopping. There is also beautiful art and painted murals in Montrose, and is an easy drive from Medical Center RV Park.

 

Rothko Chapel – 3900 Yupon St. Stunning architecture in a peaceful, reflective space.

The Menil Collection – 1533 Sul Ross St. An art gallery to soothe the soul.

The Museum of Fine Arts – 1001 Bissonnet St. Enjoy a peaceful hour or two perusing some of Texas’ best works of art.

Archway Gallery – 2305 Dunlavy St. Rotating exhibits and thoughtful artwork abound.

Sicardi I Ayers I Bacino Gallery – 1506 W Alabama St. A classy center of art worthy of the best.

Rosie Cannonball – 1620 Westheimer Rd. A casual eatery featuring pizza and pasta with a great drink menu.

Houston Area Sports!

Take in a classic baseball game with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Tickets can be purchased here. Games are held throughout the summer into October!

 

NRG Stadium is the premier venue for big sports. In August, the NFL Pre-season is happening with a couple of dates featuring the Houston Texans playing against the New Orleans Saints and SFO 49ers. Games run into September through the end of the year. Get your tickets here.
